Peter Mathews has nearly a decade of experience across all major sectors of the commercial real estate industry, including multifamily, office, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use assets. His core expertise is rooted in institutional asset valuation and advisory, developed through his career in Big Four Consulting within the Strategy and Transactions Real Estate practice.
Throughout his career, Peter has supported some of the largest real estate owners, operators, and investors in the country on complex engagements spanning asset-level valuation, portfolio optimization, development strategy, transaction execution, and strategic decision-making.
His work has included close coordination with private equity firms, REITs, developers, investment managers, and public-sector entities navigating evolving market conditions and high-stakes real estate decisions.
In parallel with his advisory career, Peter has increasingly translated this experience into hands-on partnerships in active real estate transactions - working directly alongside trusted operators to evaluate, structure, and execute investment opportunities. This blend of institutional rigor and real-world deal involvement allows him to bring a disciplined, strategic approach to sourcing and underwriting opportunities while remaining grounded in practical execution and long-term partnership.
"I didn't plan to get into real estate. I raised my hand for a rotation during a slow stretch - then never left. It stuck because it combines everything I enjoy: math, investing, and the built environment from my engineering background. Sticks, bricks, and dirt do it for me. And spending most of my career in New York City hasn't hurt - it's one of the most exciting live real estate ecosystems in the country."
"I focus on essential real estate assets that remain resilient through economic cycles. I'm drawn to industries AI can't easily disrupt and that offer strong, durable cash flow with upside over time. My philosophy is simple: protect capital first, generate returns second."
